This week’s PayPal Frenzy event is offering big discounts from some of the biggest brands, including up to 42 per cent off Lenovo laptops and PCs, and up to 40 per cent off HP’s popular range. The Good Guys also has plenty of exclusive deals coming out daily, such as 25 per cent off Acer computers and 20 per cent off Asus computers.

Tired of a laggy laptop slowing you down? Take $750 off the HP Laptop 17.3-inch (now $949, down from $1699) that has over 2,000 five-star ratings. Shoppers have dubbed the model “reliable” and “powerful”.
There’s also $950 off Lenovo’s ThinkPad E14 Gen 6 Laptop (now $1349, down from $2299), which impressed shoppers say is an “amazing work and school laptop”.
For a budget buy, there’s $255 off the Acer Aspire GO 15” i3 Laptop (now $594, down from $849).
If you’re been eyeing Lenovo’s ThinkPad series, make sure to check out the brand’s latest sale which includes $566 off the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 (now $3333, down from $3899). Fans call it a “great little road warrior” that’s “so portable and convenient to carry around”.

There’s a lot to think about when it comes to purchasing a new laptop. Before you buy, here are some key things to consider:
Operating system (OS): Choose between Windows, macOS, or Linux based on your preference and compatibility with required software.

Amazon has a good range of Chromebooks and mid-range laptops available, but its best deals are on Apple MacBooks. The online giant has its own official Apple store, which means you can find deals on brand new Apple products you won’t see elsewhere.

HP offers laptop deals most weeks but, over peak sale periods, you can often find discounts of 40-60 per cent off. It also runs great deals on gaming laptops, as well as on desktops, monitors, and printers.

If you’re looking to save on a new laptop, it’s worth shopping around to compare models. Brands like HP and Lenovo frequently offer discounts on a range of laptops and 2-in-1 models, making it worth checking out the sales tab on each individual website.
Third party retailers such as The Good Guys and Bing Lee also run regular sales which include laptops and PCs, so it’s a good idea to sign up to their mailing lists to keep on top of upcoming sales.
Those in the market for an Apple MacBook will find it more difficult to come across a deal, as Apple rarely drops the price of its products. Luckily, an Apple store now exists on Amazon Australia, which means shoppers can find brand new Apple products at prices they won’t get elsewhere.
